Experience real life change.
About
Christ Freedom Home is a personalized transition program. Expected duration is 6 months up to two years. Our goal is to see you experience real life change while you work towards full sobriety and recovery, maintaining employment, becoming financially independent, with the ultimate goal of spiritual maturity and fruit bearing.
Discipleship
Discipleship is the most significant component of the Christ Freedom Home program. We believe that sanctification is God’s recovery plan. As Freedom That Lasts says “We do what we do because we are what we are. To change what we do, we need to cooperate with God to change what we are.” This is evidenced by fruit bearing in all our life.
CFH residents are committed to attending a local church. Church membership is encouraged but not required. Attendance at Faith Baptist Church in Taylors is recommended. Faith’s services Sunday and Wednesday evenings are required. The Friday evening Freedom That Lasts meeting is required. Some residents attend another local church on Sunday morning.
Residents attend CFH-led Bible studies each weekday by experienced teachers. Book studies include such authors as Jim Berg, Jerry Bridges, A. W. Tozer, Stuart Scott, and Mark Shaw. Residents are expected to apply themselves to learning, growing and changing by God’s grace.
Residents meet with 1-2 mentor/counselors each week. The goal is to develop relationships, trust and transparency. A weekly accountability report is completed and reviewed along with progress in the Freedom That Lasts curriculum.
Residents are expected to have daily personal devotions and prayer time. They are encouraged to participate together with other residents.
One characteristic of a growing/changing Christian is a desire to serve the Lord and others. Christ Freedom Home continually looks for opportunities for residents to be actively involved in ministry.
Employment
Currently all Christ Freedom Home residents work at Entire Image, an embroidery production company in Taylors, SC. It is a clean work environment, free from bad influences. Many employees are in various stages of addiction turnaround. It is a close “community,” a work family.
The company’s mission statement is “developing employees and endearing customers through high performance.” As such there is an emphasis on “be all you can be.” It is fast paced. Entire Image helps employees realize their God given abilities: focus, diligence, attention to detail, learning, growing… Employees need good vision, energy and to be on their feet other than breaks.
As an embroidery production company, jobs include machine operating, finishing (trimming, folding…), quality control, operation support, warehousing, material handling, shipping, receiving and in some cases office positions. Typically ladies work 6:30am-2:30pm M-F. Men work 2:30pm-12:30am M-Th. Entire Image trains employees in the embroidery business. Compensation is competitive and performance based.
CFH employment through Entire Image is a great opportunity to earn money, develop employment skills, in a clean environment with a community of others changing lives by God’s grace.
Housing and Transportation
Christ Freedom Home maintains nice housing accommodations for our residents. We have two townhouses for ladies (10 people) and two townhouses for men (8 people). There are private and shared bedrooms. Tobacco products are allowed in designated areas but discouraged. Transportation is provided as needed. Several things are subject to staff approval on a case-by-case basis: personal cell phones, personal vehicles, freedom to come and go without an accountability partner… As a general rule, new opposite sex relationships are not allowed for the first six months. Residents are expected to maintain good housekeeping disciplines. These are clean, sober living environments.
